Best Server-Side Conversion Tracking Tools in 2026 (Compared)
Verified 2026 comparison of 20 server-side conversion tracking tools across five categories, with pricing, destinations, GTM requirements, and how to choose.
In short
The best server-side conversion tracking tool in 2026 depends on which of five categories you need: managed GTM hosting (Stape, TAGGRS, Addingwell), no-container CAPI platforms (EndFrame, Tracklution, SignalBridge, DataCops), Shopify-native apps (Elevar, Littledata, TrackBee), enterprise CDPs (Segment, Tealium), or attribution suites with server pixels (Cometly, Hyros, Triple Whale, RedTrack).
Most "best tools" lists are written by a vendor that ranks itself first. This one splits the tools into categories, because a GTM hosting provider and a Shopify attribution app are not competing products. Comparing them on one ranked list hides the decision that actually matters: how much infrastructure you want to own.
How this comparison was verified
Every price and feature claim below was checked against the vendor's own pricing or product page on 5 September 2026, with the URLs listed in the sources. Where a vendor blocked automated access or publishes no pricing, we say so instead of copying a figure from another list. Prices are in the currency the vendor shows; several EU vendors bill in euros, and annual-billing rates are flagged where the vendor uses them as the headline. To be included, a tool must forward conversion events server-to-server to at least one ad platform, be available to new customers, and appear in at least two independent 2026 roundups or be a recognised incumbent in its category. EndFrame is in category 2 with its limits stated plainly.
What are the five categories of server-side tracking tool?
The mechanics of server-side tracking are covered in our server-side conversion tracking guide; this article is about choosing the tool. The five categories solve different layers of the same problem:
- GTM hosting providers run Google Tag Manager's server container for you. You still build every tag, trigger, and destination.
- No-container CAPI platforms collect events with their own snippet and forward them from their own backend. No GTM server container is involved.
- Shopify-native apps read Shopify's checkout and order webhooks. Excellent inside Shopify, unavailable outside it.
- CDPs and enterprise tag managers route events to hundreds of destinations, with pricing and implementation effort to match.
- Attribution suites bundle a server pixel with attribution dashboards, usually priced on revenue or pageviews.
The baseline: Meta's free Conversions API options
Before paying anyone, note that Meta offers Conversions API integrations at no licence cost. Meta's developer documentation describes the Conversions API as a single connection for sending events from servers, websites, apps, and CRMs, and the Conversions API Gateway as a Meta-provided product that forwards events from an existing Pixel through a web-based configuration UI. Several commerce platforms also ship native Conversions API integrations.
This is the honest "do nothing extra" option. Its limits are equally honest: it covers Meta only, gives you no first-party event stream of your own, and reporting lives inside Events Manager rather than a dashboard you control. If you only run Meta ads on a platform with a native integration, start here and measure Event Match Quality before buying anything. Whatever tool you choose must also get deduplication right. Meta's documentation states it plainly:
"If we find the same server key combination (event_id and event_name) and browser key combination (eventID and event) sent to the same Pixel ID within 48 hours, we discard the subsequent events." Meta for Developers, Deduplicate Pixel and Server Events.

Category 1: Managed GTM hosting (Stape, TAGGRS, Addingwell)
Managed GTM hosting is the best choice when you already have a Google Tag Manager expert and want full control over every tag. These vendors run the server container; everything else is your job.
Stape
Stape is the most widely used server GTM host. As of September 2026 its homepage lists hosting at $20 per month including logs, a freemium plan for server GTM, and 7-day trials on its Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat gateway add-ons. Stape sells infrastructure and tag templates, not a tracking product: you configure the client, the tags, deduplication, and parameter hashing yourself.
TAGGRS
TAGGRS is an EU-based sGTM host. As of September 2026 plans start at €22 per month for 750,000 requests, with a permanent free tier of 10,000 requests. Requests are the billing unit, and a request is not an event: one pageview can generate several.
Addingwell
Addingwell, now part of Didomi, starts at €90 per month for one million requests, with a free plan up to 100,000. It sits at the enterprise end, with add-ons for extra containers, domains, and multi-region hosting, and its pricing page notes unused requests do not roll over.
Verdict: pick this category if GTM is already your control plane. Skip it if nobody wants to maintain a server container, because the hosting bill is the smallest part of the cost.
Category 2: No-container CAPI platforms (EndFrame, Tracklution, SignalBridge, DataCops, ServerTrack.io)
No-container platforms answer the question "which server-side tracking tool does not need GTM?" Each installs one snippet, collects events on its own backend, and forwards conversions with a toggle per destination. They differ on destination coverage, what they do with the event stream, and price.
| Platform | Browser-to-server dedup (event ID) | Owns a first-party event stream | Real-time reporting | API / MCP access | Notable gap |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EndFrame | Yes, hashed identifiers plus event-ID dedup | Yes: visits, actions, scroll depth, engagement time, device, language | Yes: live visitors and conversions, sub-second slicing | REST API and API keys on Starter; MCP server on Growth | No Google Ads, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn; no Shopify app |
| Tracklution | Not stated on pricing page | Not verified | Not verified | API access on Enterprise | Free plan limited to Meta and Google Ads connectors |
| SignalBridge | Vendor states dedup handled | Vendor states funnel analytics included | Not verified | Webhooks from Pro tier | Starter limited to 2 platforms; Pinterest and LinkedIn not listed |
| DataCops | Not stated | Vendor focuses on session and bot filtering | Not verified | Not verified | CAPI only from the $49 Business tier |
| ServerTrack.io | Not verified | Not verified | Not verified | Not verified | Site blocked verification; check every claim yourself |
EndFrame
EndFrame is a first-party attribution and conversion tracking platform whose defining capability is server-side conversion forwarding. As of September 2026 Starter is $49 per month for 3 domains, 15 campaigns, and 50,000 tracked visits, including conversion goals, server-side conversions to Meta CAPI, GA4 Measurement Protocol, TikTok Events API, and custom webhooks, real-time reporting, and REST API access. Growth is $149 per month with 10 domains, 250,000 tracked visits, engagement KPIs, an MCP server for AI agents, and full role-based governance. The 14-day trial needs no card. What sets it apart here is that the event stream is the product, not a side effect: every visit, action, and conversion is stored as an auditable chain. Its gaps are listed in the EndFrame section below.
Tracklution
Tracklution is the widest-coverage no-code option. As of September 2026 it lists Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, GA4, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Reddit, Bing, Klaviyo, Adform, DV360, and CM360 connectors on paid plans, a free plan limited to 5,000 events and the Meta and Google Ads connectors, and a Grow plan at €39.20 per month billed annually for 50,000 events. It offers plug-and-play apps for Shopify, WooCommerce, and Stripe, an Agency plan with a multi-client manager account, and states GTM is not required.
SignalBridge
SignalBridge is the cheapest paid entry in this category at $29 per month for 20,000 events, though Starter is limited to two of its seven destinations; Growth ($79, 50,000 events) and Pro ($129, 150,000 events) unlock all of Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Taboola, Microsoft Ads, Klaviyo, and GA4. It bundles bot filtering and funnel analytics on every tier. Its own comparison articles rank it first, which is why we checked its pricing page rather than its blog.
DataCops
DataCops leads with bot and session filtering and adds CAPI forwarding on the $49 Business tier (50,000 sessions). Listed destinations are Meta, Google Ads Enhanced Conversions, TikTok, and LinkedIn. The free Basic tier (2,000 sessions) excludes CAPI. Worth a look if invalid traffic is your main problem and conversion forwarding is secondary.
ServerTrack.io
ServerTrack.io markets itself as server-side tracking without GTM and states a free plan exists. Its site blocked our verification request, so pricing is not verified here; check its pricing page directly before shortlisting it.
Category 3: Shopify-native tools (Elevar, Analyzify, TrackBee, Littledata)
If your entire business runs on Shopify, a native app will usually match checkout and order data better than any general-purpose platform, because it reads order webhooks rather than inferring purchases from the browser. The trade-off is cost per order and zero coverage outside Shopify.
- Elevar has rebranded as Audiense Online. As of September 2026 Core is $225 per month for 2,000 orders and 2 destinations; Advanced is $650 for 10,000 orders and 4 destinations. Named destinations include Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Reddit. 15-day trial.
- Analyzify Standard is $109 per month billed monthly, integrates with GA4, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Bing, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Klaviyo, and offers no free trial.
- TrackBee starts at €79 per month for €25,000 of tracked revenue and 2 stores, with all 19 integrations on every plan and a 30-day trial. Pricing scales with revenue, not events.
- Littledata offers a pay-as-you-go Flex plan at $0.35 per order or Scale at $159 per month with 1,500 orders included, all destinations on all plans, and a 30-day trial.
Category 4: CDPs and enterprise tag management (Segment, Tealium, JENTIS, Usercentrics)
CDPs are the right tool when conversion forwarding is one of dozens of data flows and you have engineering headcount. None of the four publishes a self-serve price for the server-side product.
- Segment (Twilio) routes events to hundreds of destinations and bills on monthly tracked users. As of September 2026 its pricing page directs CDP buyers to sales and offers a 14-day trial of Connections.
- Tealium sells an enterprise customer data orchestration platform with server-side collection. No pricing is published.
- JENTIS is a European server-side tag manager with Core, Professional, and Enterprise tiers, all quote-based.
- Usercentrics does not host containers. Its server-side tagging offering is a consent layer that enforces consent rules inside your own sGTM setup, which matters if you operate in the EU and already run GTM.
Category 5: Attribution suites with server pixels (Cometly, Hyros, Triple Whale, RedTrack)
Attribution suites bundle a server-side pixel with attribution models, ad-spend sync, and dashboards. They are priced on revenue or pageviews and suit teams for whom attribution reporting, not event forwarding, is the purchase driver.
- Cometly lists Core and Enterprise plans, both including server-side tracking and Conversion API, priced by monthly pageviews with no published figure and, per its own site, no free trial.
- Hyros prices on tracked revenue and gates access behind a demo. Its pricing page returned an error during our check, so no figure is given here.
- Triple Whale is a Shopify-centric attribution suite whose Triple Pixel uses server-side collection. Its site blocked automated verification, so check its pricing page directly.
- RedTrack is the affiliate-and-agency option. As of September 2026 Builder is $69 per month for 2 million events with server-to-server conversions to Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, Bing, and Snapchat, and a free Relay plan covers Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat only.
Server-side tracking tool pricing comparison: what you actually pay for
The cheapest headline price is rarely the cheapest tool, because vendors bill on five different units. Compare like with like before comparing dollars.
| Billing unit | Who uses it | What it means for your bill |
|---|---|---|
| Requests | Stape, TAGGRS, Addingwell | One pageview can trigger several requests; multiply events by 2 to 4 when estimating |
| Events or sessions | Tracklution, SignalBridge, DataCops | Closest to what you send to ad platforms; check whether pageviews count |
| Tracked visits | EndFrame | Billed on tracked visits rather than individual events |
| Orders or tracked revenue | Elevar, Littledata, TrackBee, Hyros | Scales with business size regardless of traffic; predictable for stable stores, expensive at scale |
| Pageviews or tracked users | Cometly, Segment | Traffic-heavy, low-conversion sites pay the most |
How to choose a server-side tracking tool by team type
The right tool follows from your platform, your channel mix, and who will maintain it. Use this decision path.
- 1List the ad platforms you actually spend on. If Meta alone, start with Meta's free Conversions API options and measure Event Match Quality first.
- 2Decide whether anyone will own a GTM server container. If yes, pick a host from category 1. If no, choose a no-container platform from category 2.
- 3If you run on Shopify only, shortlist category 3 and price it per order at your current volume.
- 4If you need more than 10 destinations or a warehouse pipeline, budget for a CDP and an engineer.
- 5Run a two-week trial on real traffic and compare deduplicated conversion counts in each ad platform against your backend before committing.
DTC brand on Shopify
Choose a Shopify-native app. Littledata's per-order pricing suits stores under 1,500 orders a month; TrackBee's revenue-based tiers include every integration; Elevar is the enterprise pick at $225 and up. Add a category-2 platform only if you also run lead-gen or non-Shopify landing pages.
Lead-gen business (SaaS, services, B2B)
Choose a no-container platform. Lead-gen sites have no checkout webhook, so you need a tool that captures form submissions, maps them to conversion goals, and forwards them with hashed identifiers. EndFrame's URL-match and event-match goals plus its lead inbox were built for this pattern; Tracklution is the alternative if you need Google Ads or LinkedIn forwarding. Our guide to connecting campaigns to leads and revenue covers the setup.
Agency managing many client domains
Choose by domain limits and governance, not by starting price. Category-1 hosts charge per container; category-2 platforms cap domains per plan (EndFrame Growth allows 10 domains, with custom roles that set read, write, and delete permissions per resource); Tracklution sells a custom-priced Agency plan with a multi-client manager account. Whichever you choose, check how far its access controls go: at minimum, per-resource permissions so a junior cannot delete goals or domains. See marketing data governance for the role design.
Where EndFrame fits, and where it does not
EndFrame is the right choice when you want a no-container platform that owns the whole visit-to-conversion chain rather than only forwarding events. Each destination (Meta CAPI, GA4, TikTok Events API, custom webhooks) is a dashboard toggle with browser-to-server deduplication built in, conversions break down per campaign and per source, and the same event stream powers real-time reporting, engagement metrics, CSV export, a REST API, and an MCP server for AI agents. Starter is $49 per month with a 14-day trial and no card.
It is not the right choice if you need Google Ads Enhanced Conversions, Pinterest, Snapchat, or LinkedIn forwarding, a Shopify app, bot filtering, consent management, or multi-touch attribution models. Those are real gaps, and Tracklution, DataCops, or a Shopify-native app will serve you better. Before choosing anything, run the free tracking audit to see which pixels your site loads and estimate how much iOS and ad-blocker traffic you currently lose; on StatCounter's August 2026 data, iOS alone is 32 percent of mobile worldwide.
The bottom line
There is no single best server-side tracking tool in 2026, only the best tool for your category. Start with Meta's free options if you only run Meta ads. Pick a GTM host if you have a GTM owner, a no-container platform if you do not, a Shopify app if you live in Shopify, and a CDP if you have engineers and a warehouse. Verify every price on the vendor's page, run a real trial on live traffic, and judge the winner by deduplicated conversions in your ad accounts, not by the length of its integrations list.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest server-side tracking tool in 2026?
As of September 2026, the cheapest verified paid plans are SignalBridge at $29 per month (20,000 events, two platforms), TAGGRS at €22 per month for GTM hosting (750,000 requests), and RedTrack's free Relay plan for Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat only. Free tiers also exist at Tracklution (5,000 events), DataCops (2,000 sessions, no CAPI), and Addingwell (100,000 requests). Meta's own Conversions API options carry no licence fee.
Do I still need a browser pixel if I use server-side tracking?
Yes, in almost all cases. Ad platforms recommend running the browser pixel and the server-side connection together and deduplicating them with a shared event ID. The pixel supplies click IDs and browser identifiers that improve match quality, while the server connection recovers events the pixel misses. Meta only deduplicates when event_id and event_name match on the same Pixel within 48 hours.
Which server-side tracking tool does not need Google Tag Manager?
No-container platforms such as EndFrame, Tracklution, SignalBridge, and DataCops run their own collection snippet and backend, so no GTM server container is required. Shopify-native apps like Littledata and TrackBee also work without GTM. Stape, TAGGRS, and Addingwell are GTM hosts by design, so they require a server container that you configure yourself.
Can I switch server-side tracking tools later?
Yes. Because every tool ultimately sends standard Conversions API, Measurement Protocol, or Events API payloads, switching means installing the new snippet, re-creating your conversion goals, and re-mapping destinations. Expect a short overlap where you run both, and check deduplication so you do not double-count. Export your raw event history (via CSV or API) before cancelling to preserve your reporting baseline.
Is Stape better than Tracklution or SignalBridge?
They solve different problems. Stape hosts a Google Tag Manager server container, which gives you unlimited flexibility but requires you to build and maintain every tag. Tracklution and SignalBridge are no-container platforms with pre-built connectors and a toggle per destination. Choose Stape if you have a GTM specialist; choose Tracklution or SignalBridge if you want pre-built connectors without maintaining a container.
